What does SEPM stand for?
SEPM is Sumitomo Electric Interconnect Products (M) Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian manufacturing subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., focused on interconnect products such as flexible flat cable and electronic wires.
Where is the SEPM plant located?
The campus is at No.1, Jalan Angkasa Mas Utama, Kawasan Perindustrian Tebrau II, 81100 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia.
When was SEPM established?
SEPM was established in March 1988. Flexible flat cable production at the current Tebrau II site began in 1993.
What are the main product divisions?
The archive organises products under the Flat Component Division (including SUMI-CARD™ FFC and jumper leads) and the Electronic Wires Division (including IRRAX™ irradiated wires and UL/CSA insulated electronic wires).

SUMI-CARD™ is Sumitomo’s brand name for flexible flat cable (FFC): flat rectangular conductors laminated between insulation layers for space-saving and dynamic routing applications.
What is IRRAX™ wire?
IRRAX™ refers to Sumitomo’s irradiated (cross-linked) wire families. Cross-linking improves heat resistance and mechanical performance compared with some thermoplastic-only constructions.
